FAQ

Where do I start?

Fill out the contact form or send me a message to schedule a free phone/email consult to discuss your child's specific needs to see how your child may benefit from therapy services. An intake form will then be sent to complete and submit. An evaluation session will be scheduled with your child. Recommendations will be discussed and sessions will be scheduled if therapy is recommended. Therapy goals will be developed collaboratively with the child/parent(s) in order to track progress. Tracking progress towards goals will help inform decisions about modifying the treatment plan, determining need to continue or discontinue, as well as whether to make referrals to other services.

What will the evaluation be like?

An evaluation will consist of a review of the child intake form, parent interview, clinical observations of the child during formal and informal tasks and activities, as well as a discussion on what the parent's goals for their child are. The information gathered during this process is used to determine what kind of treatment goals is appropriate for your child in order to create a plan. The evaluation identifies the child's strengths, weaknesses, and deficits that impact their ability to function independently at a developmentally appropriate level. The evaluation does not provide medical diagnoses, its purpose is to provide information about the current development of the child and to determine whether the child would benefit from treatment.

Where is therapy held?

As a mobile practitioner, I primarily travel to your home to provide therapy in your child’s natural environment. Home-based sessions offer the opportunity to work within familiar routines, using what you already have at home to help integrate strategies more effectively. This setting often encourages greater caregiver collaboration and comfort, which enhances progress and carryover.

In addition to home visits, I now also offer on-campus sessions at Seoul Foreign School during after-school hours (3:30–5:30 PM). If your child attends SFS or another school open to collaboration, we can also explore the possibility of arranging sessions directly on campus.

My availability may vary depending on your location within Seoul. Sessions are typically 50 minutes, held once or twice per week, depending on your child’s needs and goals.

Is therapy provided in English or Korean?

English is my native language, so therapy will be provided in English. However, I can also use conversational-level Korean and can understand Korean if you as a parent are more comfortable with speaking Korean.
